Family Student Housing Eligibility Requirements

An applicant to Family Student Housing must:
  • Be a registered UCSC student, or
  • Have a processed UCSC application for academic admission

Once living at Family Student Housing all undergraduate and graduate students must be a regularly enrolled full-time registered student during the academic year. Graduate students who have Advanced to Candidacy must enroll in a minimum of one 5 unit course each academic-year quarter. Concurrent enrollment does not meet eligibility requirements. 
*Note: Visiting students are not eligible for Family Student Housing.

Students must reside with at least one eligible family member on a permanent, full-time basis. Eligible family members include:

  • Your child(ren) (must have physical custody at least 50% of time)
  • Your spouse or adult partner
  • Your parent(s), grandparent(s), or sibling(s).

Note: Postdoctoral Scholars, and their families, will be considered for any available space after requests/applications of registered UCSC students have been accommodated.
