Native American/Indigenous Themed Housing

Native American/Indigenous Themed Housing is a community intended to create a supportive, home-away-from-home environment for all students, including Indigenous students and their allies.

Native American/Indigenous Theme Housing (NAITH) welcomes students from all experiences — we do not define Indigenous or Native as being only American Indian, tribally enrolled, or expect that residents are traditionally culturally grounded. What is important is the desire to connect with other students whose interests span historical, present-day, and future experiences of Native and Indigenous peoples and be part of the community. NAITH offers the opportunity to further explore cultural, heritage, and tribal connections.American Indian Resource Center group

Being directly connected to the American Indian Resource Center (AIRC), this theme community is designed for students whose interests span historical, present-day, and future experiences of California, Native American, Hawaiian and Indigenous peoples. The program believes that all students, including Native and Indigenous students in higher education are future leaders, and seeks to foster their development as such.

The Native American/Indigenous Theme Housing community is located in the Porter College Residence Halls.

A supplemental application specific to this theme is required when completing your housing application.
