
Maintenance Request

Something not working the way it should? Whether it’s a leaky faucet, a Wi-Fi issue, or a laundry machine that’s out of service—there’s help for that.
Start by checking the categories below to make sure your request goes to the right place. Different types of problems are handled by different campus departments or outside service providers, and we want to help make sure your issue gets to the people who can actually fix it.

Report a problem

Housing maintenance (CruzFix)
For repairs or issues in your residence (e.g., lights, outlets, plumbing, windows, heating, appliances in university-provided kitchens).

Laundry machines (CSC ServiceWorks)
For broken washers or dryers in campus laundry rooms.

MicroFridge rentals
If you’ve rented a MicroFridge through My MicroFridge and need repairs.

Internet or WiFi (ResNet/ITS)
For trouble connecting to WiFi or using your wired connection.

Emergency or after-hours help
For urgent issues like active flooding, or entry doors that won’t lock or open.
CruzFix: UCSC Housing and Dining maintenance requests
CruzFix is the system used to submit non-emergency maintenance requests for university housing and dining areas. Your request goes directly to maintenance staff.

Before you submit a request:
- Submit one request per issue.
- For residential buildings and non-academic areas, choose a request type that begins with “Housing-” to ensure proper routing.
- Include a contact phone number in case staff need to follow up.
- Submitting a request for your campus residence grants staff permission to enter your residence to complete repairs.
- If a service or emotional support animal lives with you, please note that in the request for everyone’s safety.
For urgent problems:
For maintenance emergencies that cannot wait until the next business day (e.g., active flooding, water intrusion, entry doors not securing or opening), please call:
- Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m.: Call (831) 459-7043
- After hours, weekends, or holidays: Call (831) 459-4861
- Life-threatening emergencies: Call 911
