Housing Options

Three students at move inUC Santa Cruz offers a variety of housing options, including traditional residence halls and college apartments. Freshman are typically assigned to live in the residence halls at their college. For new transfer students, housing options include the Transfer Community, The Village, and University Town Center. Continuing students are eligible to live at The Village, University Town Center, and at any college, however they have higher priority at their affiliated college.

Residence Halls
The residence halls, which include both shared and private rooms, typically house 15 to 50 students per floor and have common bathrooms and lounge and/or study areas.

Apartments are generally reserved for seniors and juniors (and some sophomores). They have shared and private rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, and living rooms.
